Mieke Bal & Michelle Williams Gamaker give key note lectures at Konstrundan, Turku

The event was organised by Anna Nojd and my talk focuses on performance, a key aspect of filmmaking, and how Mieke and I work with its different aspects in the Madame B project.
I will consider how we have incorporated the performances of others as the
adoption of past into present, and performativity as the underlying thrust of what continues to develop as a “quotational aesthetic” in our work.
